The Conference Managers are pleased to offer the Early Bird registration rate between now and 29 November 2016. From 30 November 2016 delegates will be required to pay the Onsite Registration Fee as advertised above. 

Group Registration

Group registration is offered when a single entity registers ten (10) or more participants. Once ten registrations have been made you will receive a complimentary 11th registration to the conference.

Group Registration Portal

Group registration is available to assist organisations wishing to send multiple participants to the Conference.  A list of participants must be nominated when submitting the group registration form but can be changed.  The final list of participants must be emailed to the Conference Managers fourteen (14) days prior to the commencement of the Conference.  Please note that registration fees applicable for group registrations will be the fees as advertised at the date of payment of the registration fees.


Bursary Registration

Please note that registration in application of a bursary has been extended from Friday, 23 September to COB Friday, 30 September

MenziesHIQ has now completed reviewing the eligibility of accepted presenters for this bursary, and have contacted recipients directly to advise if they have received a Bursary to attend the Conference. Only successful bursary recipients have been contacted via email from the Conference Managers.

MenziesHIQ is providing up to 80 bursaries of $200 towards registration to attend the conference for Early Career Researchers and HDR students. 

To be eligible applicants must be: 

  • Either a Griffith University ECR or HDR student (PhD or MPhil) and have their abstract accepted for presentation at the conference. 
  • Must be a MHIQ member 

Should you be an Honours student or you are not successful in this bursary process through MenziesHIQ, please contact either your School, HDR Supervisor or Convener to discuss what funding options may be available. Should you still have difficulties seeking funding, please contact outlining the channels you have explored.

Registration Terms and Conditions

The registration fee entitles all delegates to the following:

  • All sessions
  • Conference Cocktail Event
  • Catering: Morning and afternoon teas, Lunches
  • Satchel: program booklet, proceedings/abstract book and list of participants

Student Registration

A student is defined as a holder of a student identification card from a recognised tertiary or secondary educational institution or international student card.  Students must be studying full time to qualify for the discounted rate.  Student registrants are entitled to the following:

  • All sessions
  • Conference Cocktail Event
  • Catering: Morning and afternoon teas, Lunches
  • Satchel: program booklet, proceedings/abstract book and list of participants

Registration confirmation

Your completed registration and successful payment will be acknowledged via email or post with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form.  Your registration will only be processed or confirmed if payment does accompany your form.

Name badge

Each member of the conference will receive a name badge upon registration.  The badge will be your official pass and must be clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to all sessions and to social functions. The Conference Managers expect appropriate behaviour from attendees and reserve the right to revoke the badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.

Private Touring, Private Functions, Hospitality Arrangements

Should you have any specialised group requirements for private touring, private function, transportation or hospitality services other than those organised for the official program, please contact the Conference Manager who would be pleased to assist with arrangements.

It is requested that you advise the Conference Managers of any private /corporate functions that might be planned outside of the official program.

Credit Card

Please note all online registrations require immediate payment by credit card.  Please visit our secure website to register and book your accommodation in ‘real time’.  Accepted credit cards: MasterCard, Visa and American Express. Please note all transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to ‘Conference by Arinex Pty Ltd’.

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Managers via

Registration Fees: Before 21 October 2016 will incur an A$150.00 cancellation fee. From 22 October 2016 will receive a 50% refund of fees paid. After 31 October 2016 there will be no refund.

Accommodation: A minimum one night’s deposit must be paid or credit card details given at time of booking to guarantee reservation One nights deposit is non-refundable at 26 October 2016.

Social: Payments are non-refundable at 31 October 2016.


The organisers reserve the right to delete, modify or alter items from the program or to delete, modify or alter any aspect of the Conference timetabling and delivery at their sole discretion and without notice.  Neither the host organisation(s) nor the Conference Managers will accept any liability for any loss or inconvenience caused to any party consequent to such changes.

The Conference Managers reserve the right to use any recordings whether audio or video and/or any photographs taken at any stage during the Conference for promotional, advertising or reporting of the Conference and/or its content at their sole discretion.
